DIY Christmas Fun for Hues n Shades

I was asked to make a Christmas ornament or some kind of do it yourself for x-mas.
I decided to show how to make a line with clips for Christmas cards.
What you need is wooden laundry clips, some kind of string (about 1.5 to 2 meters) acrylic paint, read, white, black, green and yellow. White glitter if you want.

First I take few wooden laundry clips, about 20 pieces.

First I  take the half of the clips and start with red color, paint Santa´s jacket and Santa´s cap
then I make his beard and the fur edge of his cap with white color and the dusk too.
Next is to paint his face with skin tone.

Next step is to paint the other half of the clips green.
I do add red and yellow dots for lights and then I paint a yellow star on top of the clips

Next step is to paint dots for eye and nose and add a little red color for mouth in the beard.

Then I add a little glitter on the white color of Santa´s cap.

and this is how I hang my Christmas cards.

This is the one I have. I do add this string between two nails on the wall (1 to 1.5 cm between) and hang all my Christmas cards one in each clips. This makes a beautiful Christmas decoration.
Sorry I don´t have picture of it hanging on my wall to show you but I hope this will do.

Getting ready for Christmas

Today I was painting Christmas Lovely Ladies Ornament
Love these girls and they look so cute with a little glitter in the white color.
They are big, I think they are bout 15 cm or more.

Love the way I had to hang them while drying.

Have a beautiful day

What a wonderful home made cat...

In my paper maché class on Tuesday I was working on a large bowl, I did forget my camera at home so I don't have any photos.
When waiting for the bowl to dry I made a little cat.

To day at home I did not have any paper maché so I did use a self dry clay to finish of my cat.
I think this is going to be a perfect cat for all my birds... maybe I should make a birds cage so the cat wont catch all my birds.

I was working on my christmas girl as well, I finished painting her so now I can have her hanging on my wall during christmas.  You can see my christmas girl dressed in red.
This is what I have been doing last weeks working with paper maché. The girl dressed in blue is a doll I made of fabric and paper clay.
Have a wonderful sunday.

No time for painting

I need so much more time in my life.
This week I have not had time to paint or draw, I have been working, went to my paper Maché class.
Worked in my gallery, where we had long opening hours.
And Im so tired.

But one night I went to my school. One of the teachers is a quilt designer, you can see her webpage here  http://www.disadesigns.com we had  to make a christmas runner.
We had so much fun cutting, glueing and sewing. About 12 showed up.
Im very happy with my runner witch I did decorate with hearts.
It says Merry Christmas in Icelandic.
Have a wonderful weekend all of you and a happy PPF.
