My painting on a church exhibition. 

The theme was the Easter and I painted my visions of the resurrection.

That one is a big one. 100x150 cm.

New painting..

I did star working on this one when I took a workshop in Norway in May.

The teacher was Jenny Grant.

I had a wonderful time, painting for 3 days with wonderful friends both old and new.

Can't wait for the next workshop we take together.

Jenny the teacher is an angel, I became her friend in some online FB group and then I took her class in LB and then she was the host for Tracys class in Sweden two years ago.

And here is another one, this one is old, always trying to finish with this one but never happy, think Ill collage over her and start all over again.

New painting...

This is my newest painting, Size 70 x 90 cm.

I love this one. Love the colours, so bright and 

beautiful.

My girls are done. I did enjoy so much making them.

I have to make more.

They are about 15 cm high.

Sometimes I just draw...

I have not been painting for a week now, to tired after work but this weekend is a long weekend from work, 4 days :) so tonight I started painting again :)

 But I have nothing to show yet so I show you my drawing I did this week.

I love to draw girls and I love to drew birds so many times I do both together in one drawing.

And then I think, shall I color it or not.. and most of the time I color it and so many times Im unhappy with my work after I add the color.

I think she looked so much better before I did add color.

But it is done and I try to remember next time not to color....

To paint is my life....

Today I painted this beauty. 

This is my blue painting. Love painting with one ore two colors.

First the lady was holding a baby in blanket.

The blanket turned out to be a swan and then a bird made him a nest on the ladies head....

 Love this one with a great background made of an old phone book.

I did make a beautiful bird...

Today I made this beautiful bird.

First I made his body with aluminium foil, then I covered the body with tape. After the tape I did add paper mache clay. It was not very easy using the brand I did use, i know of another brand much easier to use. Now it was a time to add some legs, I made some of wire and pearl.

When I had made a beautifully shaped bird with eyes and a little pattern here and there. I left it for some hours to dry.

When my bird was dry I did start painting.

I choose to paint him with pink, turquoise and white colors.

After the paint was dry I did add some brown paint over the whole bird and washed it of at the same time. Left in the pattern was little brown color.

Now it was time to add some feathers and a string so that I could hang him up.

I'm very happy with my bird.

Going to be a great day in the city :)

This weekend there is going to be a market in the center of Reykjavik, Icelands capital. The Bazar is called Bernhöftsbazaar and is located on Bernhöftstorfa.

Im going to be there with my art and Im going to have a great sale.

Need to sell so I can buy more supplies for my new paintings

I hope there will be a great weather with lot of sun so there will be a lot of people..

Red, red, metallic....

New week of Summer of Colors

Colors to use are red, red, metallic

I did find it hard to find two red colors that did not look the same.

Those are the color I had

I love using metallic colors, they shine different from the others.

Painting over one more time :)

I had an old and ugly painting, very dark colors and just not to look at..

So I got my gesso and painted over with my gesso..

Now I had a white canvas

Now it was time to start painting, first with yellow and orange,

 then red, turning the canvas all the time..

then it was the blue and green.

And when dry I started drawing

I did draw a girl, a girl with a bird..

Not new for me, it is always a girl and a bird..

Now it was time to bring some color to the face and to the bird..

Here she was almost done..

And here she is, beautiful and bright.

The size is 40x100

Two exhibition opening at the same day :I

One day I did start a painting, a big one 80x80

it was going to an exhibition.

It started like this...

Adding layer b y layer of a bright an  beautiful layers..

Suddenly there were 3 birds there...

With a doodle here and there.... I came as far as this..

And suddenly there was a girl with a bird... yes I did paint over my birds..

She was good looking, with a bird on her shoulder, small wings and a beautiful quote in her hair that says.. Nothing can dim the light that comes from within.. (Maya Angelou)

And this is how my painting ended... with a bronze background...

But tats how I paint... 

The other exhibition was an outdoor exhibition for one evening, painting on a thick cloth.. 

Much fun making, loved this event..

Summer of color

Summer of color is a big, international blog party featuring six weeks of color prompts, weekly linking opportunities, fabulous giveaways, creative inspirations and an amazing artistic community.

I was thinking about joining them last year but Then I was to busy so now I´m going to try. 

Every week I think we get new colors to work with. This week we had to use two blue colors and one green. This is how my 3 colors look...

New paintings for Soul Food class hosted by Community Thrive

Lesson 7 in my Soul Food class was thought by Michelle Sylvia.

I really enjoyed her class where we worked a lot with the background.

I love working with backgrounds.

I used a lot of ink and my new Golden High Flow, I just love them.

First I made this girl, love how she turned out.

In her is written Follow your heart..

Then I made this one, she is different but I love her as well and the little bird sitting on her head.

In her hair is written She believed in kindness..

Made a little bird in paper clay..

On Friday night I did make a little beautiful bird.

I did make him out of foil and paper clay.

I love him, think he is so cute.

Im taking class at community thrive, called Soul Food and the teacher for this class was Heather Santos, she is so good with paper clay.

Doodling by the pool in Tenerife, Spaine

I was so happy having an opportunity to travel to Tenerife, Spain for a week two weeks ago.

When living in ice cold Iceland, you love it so much to stay in the sun for some time.

Loved sitting by the pool, doing nothing but enjoying live.

I had to create a little, bought me a journal, little box of water soluble pencils and black pen.

I did some sketches, colored them and then I had my water bottle and used my finger to bring the color to paint.

I love my Lovely Ladies, they all talk to me in their way.

I had a wonderful week.

Painting elephants..

Im taking a class with Wyanne Thompson, You and me.

I have learned to use Masking fluid with ink and watercolor.

I love those white lines..

This is my first try.

Cutting out the elephant from scrapbook paper and painting with ink.

This is my second one.

I did use tape where there is a blue color in the grass.. I was going to paint the elephants pink but without thinking i did paint them gray...

Making this one I did use watercolor.

The last one I did paint on canvas or spray with ink.

Now I did paint my elephant pink and I did some decoration with a poca pen.

When I start I cant stop....

So many times when I start painting I cant stop. 
I paint one and then another and so on using the same color in every painting.

Now Im in love with this beautiful color Quinacridone Magnenta from Golden.

First I did a girl from India in a saree with a little singing bird on her sholder.

Then I did another girl with feather in her hair and a little bird on her shoulder too.

I have made another girl but that is an angel, Ill post a photo of her soon.

Another beautiful Lovely Lady..

You might think that I´m crazy but sometimes I fall in love with my paintings.

To day I did paint this adorable girl with her friend the bird sitting on her head, talking to  her.. 

I love this one, I love the bird, I love the colors and I love the background. 

Maybe I should paint some more Lovely Ladies..

This one is going to be the cover for my planner 2015... so excited..

Painting my clay

Today I decided to paint My Lovely Lady witch I made of clay two years ago.

Here you can see picture from start to end.

That´s how she looked

I did start with black color, little scary..

Fully covered with black color

Then it was to bring some color to her

She got a brown hair and a turquoise dress, same color as her bird

Then she did get some makeup and a little decoration to her dress..

More decoration both to her dress and her bird with his beautiful crown

I was not happy with a white wing on the bird

In the end I did add some charcoal to get some shades.

Now she is done..
